Writing drill
There are still many things that I would like to learn or improve my skill. English writing skill is one of them. Thanks to this pages owner, I have chances to practice and post subtle essays, without knowing who, if any, are reading it. I would like to have someone coach me. What I would like to learn is creative writing. I suppose I need to enrich my vocabulary so that my writing will be more fun to read. Other area might be content. What do I want to express.
In history class I learned that Japanese villages or communities were formed as one shrine in center. I have experienced it in 2011. This village where I have my house was surely formed around shrines. There is one shrine and one temple in this district. Some kind of representative committee is formed talking about how to manage shine and temple activities. Although many newcomers do not belong to shrine circle and temple circle, this committee is active and powerful. They have representatives formed by elders according to their age group. Each household pays certain amount for managing those shrine and temple activities. They are really serious. In this shrine, no paid or qualified expert. So with those believers and their offering money they continue to have festivals and other events going on. In a way it is amazing. As a culture point of view, it is worth keeping, I guess. As a Jesus Christ believer, I pray that they should repent and stop reserving such custom. Their big amount of money should be spent for much worthy activities. They decide what to serve at the funeral ceremony and what not to serve. I wonder how many more years they keep this committee. And I wonder what they will do to the money they have saved up until now. Quite fortunate that they are all virtue people and no one seems to want to steal money and no one doubts such things.
Peaceful community, I would say. They know that other two districts don’t have such. The elders said they don’t know why. Some suggested that they should get together and correct opinions to move town government. Good idea maybe. I don’t care though.
