Happy new year!  It’s kind of late.  I know.  Already 15 days have passed.

Halloween in Japan    Oct.15, 2009

Black cat, witch, bat, jack-o-lantern, monster, ghost, spider, vampire…..Those are the characters of Halloween.  Recently decorations, costumes and trick-or-treating became popular in Japan.  In U.S, on the other hand, I suppose celebrating Halloween is getting smaller maybe because there were several terrible incidents happened over Halloween and maybe because Christians feel unbiblical about it.

Searching old friends in Google ---October 13, 2009

I believe many of you have done this---searching old friends by their names in Google.  It is amazing.  You can find other people with same names as well as the person you are looking for.  Sometimes you can see their pictures.  Privacy protection?  No.  There is no such protection on the web.  Some people wanted to be known.  Sometimes it is convenient.  Other times, it might be dangerous

Gospel and A Cappella Festival---Oct. 10, 2009

Fall is supposed to be a season of arts and music as well as sports, reading and good appetite.  So many communities hold culture events.  In my prefecture they hold the first Gospel and A Cappella Festival yesterday, inviting many civil groups, students circles and choirs to sing at one stage.  The Gospel choir I belong decided to attend this festival because our leader knows the person in charge of this festival.  Al

How to teach English ---September 27, 2009

I have attended a 2-day seminar on how to teach English to Japanese children in Japan.  The seminar was given by a prestigious Japanese woman in English and all students discussed in English, too.  It was a lot of fun and challenging. 
First of all the seminar fee was a little expensive for me.  Secondly the text book we used was also written in English, academic English.  That is normal since the book is writ
