Ise Grand Shrine

The place was filled with people. I wonder what kind of people they are. Are they all believers of this shrine deity? Are they so religious? Or are they just tourists like me? I came here more than 30 years ago on our high school trip. At that time the place was not this crowded. The bridge is under construction. They renew this bridge every 6 years, the guide said. I saw some people bowing in front of the main Torii gate before they go in and after they went out. They must show their respect. My sister's husband came here three times over his "shoro" or becoming to elder age. He seemed to be a real believer of this shrine. This shrine is called Ise Grand Shrine. It is supposed to be the head of all shrines in Japan. Amaterasu is the deity. It has something to do with the begining of Japan.
While we were waiting in line to go into the parking, I saw many stone lantarns that were donated by many people and companies, stood along side the road. I found a star of David carved on each of them! Why star of David?! Does is relate to the lost tribe of 10 Jews? Maybe so.
I wanted to scream to all of those peole that real God is not here. Real God is everywhere watching over you and your hearts. Whoever believe in Jesus who died on the cross for you, you will be saved and have eternal life in heaven.
